Consider: “Where Should We Go From Here?”

Just think for a moment that your first cold call to a prospect turns out to be a natural, open and warm experience. They have responded satisfactorily to you and want more information and to stay in touch with you. Most salespeople at this point JUMP at trying to close them, so instead you can ask "Where do you think we might go from here?"

This question reassures potential clients that you’re not using the conversation to fulfill your own hidden agenda. Rather, your giving them space and time to come to their own conclusions. You’re helping them create their own path, and you will follow.By letting the other party know that you're not going to push them down a path their not comfortable with and that you're allowing them to make their own decisions, then most of the time they'll go with you.
