Online Success for Health Professionals

I've been doing some consulting with a very good client of mine in the health industry recently AOK Health, they are the leaders in the health products industry for balance balls and physio rollers among other very popular products.

I've had the pleasure of interacting with many of their clients who are typically physio therapists, personal trainers and other health related specialists and the reason I'm interacting with them is to help them with their online marketing and some very savvy strategies that AOK is offering them for increased and leveraged online profits.

I would like to point out the difference between a very successful online marketer in the health industry and the many who fail. There is a company called Get Active Physiotherapy, he has a chain of extremely successful companies in the industry all around Australia.

On looking at his company and the many others in the industry, I began to wonder "WHY is he so successful, and others not?".

I realized upon studying his strategies further are in alignment with any successful company that is leading in any industry, they use their best strengths first and outsource the rest.

Paul Wright of Get Active Physiotherapy is an exceptional marketer and speaker, he rarely works "IN" his business, but is constantly working "ON" his business... This might sound so very cliched but it's so true, that's why you keep hearing it and if your thinking that, then you probably haven't "Got It" just yet, how powerful it is.

Paul has come up with a way to build a successful online and offline business, and is now teaching it to hundreds of personal trainers, physiotherapists and other health professionals through a DVD course called The Million Dollar Health Professional. Which is another exceptional strategy he has implemented... Online and DVD courses for sale, which compliment his speaking and training programs.

Not only has he turned himself into an authority on the subject of health and fitness, but he's leveraged himself through creating products that can be sold long after he retires from the industry should he wish to do that.

A good mix of your own products and affiliated products are an absolute gold mine for successful companies and are there for the taking for health professionals also.

Going back to AOK Health, they offer a tremendous affiliate program for health professionals to benefit from, and the way it can be adapted to their existing schedule is numerous.

One example that Paul is doing is including the affiliate program right inside The Million Dollar Health Professional course, and by chance he just happens to be a very, very successful affiliate for them.

How does all this apply to health professionals who are busy being "IN" their business, or just starting out?

Because I know you're thinking, it's OK for a Paul Wright who has numerous employees to "make it", but I'm just starting out, how can I do the same thing when there is only one of me and many of him?

You need to start small... Seeming overnight successes take many years of slow, dogged, determination along with (and I cannot emphasize this enough) super savvy online and offline marketing and business principals, determination ISN'T enough unfortunately you need to be smart and you need to be WILLING to INVEST in yourself and your business.

Here are some logical, cost effective steps to get you on the right track fast:

1. Get a marketing website NOW

If you're in the health industry and don't have a website your LOSING customers and profits. You don't need thousands of dollars to make a good and effective website.

Simply go to the likes of Homestead and you can have a simple, good looking, modern, website presence in like 30 minutes for under $100's, it's not rocket science but you do need to have a good online presence these days to look professional, no argument about it.

2. Get TARGETED visitors to your website ASAP

So you've built a website and now it's just sitting there in cyberspace, now what?

You need traffic and LOTS of it, especially if you're a local trainer or health specialist needing local clients, you will also need to look at the larger picture and begin selling products online so you can eventually stop working one day and go on that holiday you always wanted (can't do this by working for yourself and not lose money).

So the way to do this is by picking yourself up a subscription to Site Built It and working on it a little each day until you complete the steps, the effort IS worth it, you will get clients and you will get targeted visitors who will buy your products and affiliate products.

3. SELL Something

Once you get your content and traffic to your sites, you then need to pre-sell the visitors so they come to you warm and ready to buy, this is where Site Built It is so good, it does this process for you simply and easily.

Once you have the pre-sell stages built, you then need to create a product or source products to sell, whether they be your own fitness services on your Homestead site, or whether you source affiliate products to sell.

A great place to start is the likes of AOK Health affiliate program, they have two programs one is completely free the second costs a couple of hundred bucks for a branded strategy (this is the one to go for if you're serious about making passive income online from the above strategies).

4. Build a LIST

You've often heard the "Gold is in the list" and it's SO true!

You need to create an automatic capture of your visitors to your website and market to them with new messages that will entice them to stay with you and also repeat purchase, this process is often referred to as the "Back End" in a marketing funnel and is critically important how you plan it.

The best autoresponder and data capture tool that I've used is Aweber and I've used at least 5 different database / autoresponder / newsletter programs and this is by far the best, I have at least 20 different marketing lists that I'm building with this program, so do yourself a favor and get hold of it and use it, it's immensely powerful.

5. Rinse and Repeat

Don't stop here, the goal is to be seen as an AUTHORITY on a subject or niche, so you need to create multiple websites to do this on many different areas that you operate in.

If you just follow the above steps and formula you WILL become successful in any area of health and fitness marketing area you wish.
